Post-Surgery Bra Types

Post-surgery bras are designed to provide comfort, support, and proper compression for individuals recovering from various types of surgeries, particularly breast surgery. Here at Caroline Randell, we specialise in beautiful, luxury bras, whether postsurgery or not. Our post-op bras look beautiful and come with matching knickers, as it is important to look and, more importantly, feel beautiful, especially after surgery.

Choose your bra depending on the type of surgery performed. We usually stock a few of each type of bra:

  1. Compression Bras: These bras are designed to provide gentle, even compression to the surgical area. Compression helps reduce swelling and promotes healing. They often have front closures or hook-and-eye closures in the front to make them easier to put on and take off without straining the affected area.

  2. Soft Cup Bras: Soft cup bras are wire-free and feature soft, non-irritating materials to avoid causing discomfort to the surgical site. They are suitable for individuals who need less compression and more gentle support during the recovery process.

  3. Front-Closure Bras: Bras with front closures are convenient for those with limited mobility post-surgery. They eliminate the need to lift the arms when putting on or taking off the bra. Front-closure bras often have hook-and-eye closures in the front, making them easy to manage without straining the surgical area.

  4. Post-Mastectomy Bras: Specifically designed for individuals who have undergone a mastectomy (removal of one or both breasts), these bras often have pockets to accommodate breast prostheses. They provide a secure and comfortable fit while offering a natural appearance.
